Mount Kenya – Day 6

Director of LWF, Ant King, having Ali taste bitter aloe

As expected the team is very tired and using the next couple of days to rest their bodies and recover before their next ascent. The team is very strong, despite the many grunts and groans that were echoed over the course of the day.

They spent the day being picked up from the base of the mountain and transported to Nairobi.  From there they enjoyed many hot showers, cold Tuskers (well deserved), Ethiopian food, and perhaps best of all, beds to sleep in!

Time is very short on the rest days with the majority of the days spent transporting between the mountains, and visiting project sites.  The team will spend the 7 hour drive from Nairobi to Arusha sorting out which stories are best to share – and will post a blog before their next climb. It will be up to them to reveal who vomited the most, who talked in their sleep, and who got the giggles.

The comments have been great – and many thanks for the donations which continue to roll in.
